Resize an object
Click an object or group of objects to select it.
If you don’t see white squares around the object, the object is locked; you must unlock it before you can resize it.
To choose whether the object resizes freely or proportionally, in the Format sidebar, click the Arrange tab, then do one of the following:
Resize freely: Make sure the “Constrain proportions” checkbox (below Size) is unselected.
Resize proportionally: Make sure the “Constrain proportions” checkbox (below Size) is selected.
Note: Groups containing certain objects can only be resized proportionally. These objects include images and movies that have been rotated, and shapes that have a green dot when selected.
Do one of the following:
Resize manually: Drag any selection handle.
Resize to specific dimensions: In the Arrange tab at the top of the sidebar on the right, enter values in the Width and Height fields, or click the arrows next to the fields.
Rotate an object
Note: You can’t rotate a table, chart, or image gallery.
Click the object to select it, or select multiple objects.
In the Format sidebar, click the Arrange tab.
Drag the Rotate wheel, or enter a degree value in the adjacent field to specify the angle at which you want to rotate the object.
Tip: You can also press the Command key while your pointer is over a white square on the object, then drag to rotate.
Flip an object
Note: You can’t flip a table, chart, or image gallery.
Click the object to select it, or select multiple objects.
In the Format sidebar, click the Arrange tab.
Click a Flip button (near the Rotate wheel) to flip the object vertically or horizontally.
Tip: You can add these buttons to the toolbar: Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical.
When you rotate or flip a shape that has text in it, the text moves with the shape. To make only the text horizontal again, choose Format > Reset Text and Object Handles.
Reverse Pdf Image
To save a copy of a Pages document in another format, you export it in the new format. This is useful when you need to send the document to people who are using different software. Any changes you make to the exported document don’t affect the original.
If you’ve added marks or edits using Smart Annotation, they won’t appear in exported Word, EPUB, or Pages ’09 documents. In an exported PDF, annotations appear if they were visible when you exported.
Note: If the original file has a password, it applies to copies exported in PDF, Word, and Pages ’09 formats, but you can change or remove it.
Save a copy of a Pages document in another format
Open the document, then choose File > Export To > [ file format] (from the File menu at the top of your screen).
Specify export settings:
PDF: These files can be opened and sometimes edited with applications like Preview and Adobe Acrobat. Click the Image Quality pop-up menu, then choose an option (the higher the image quality, the larger the file size of the exported copy).

For word-processing documents only, choose a layout type. A fixed layout preserves the layout of your document and is best for documents with multiple columns or lots of images. A reflowable layout adapts to the screen size and orientation and lets users change the font size. It’s best for documents with lots of text.

If there’s a password checkbox, do one of the following:
Set a password: Select the “Require password to open” checkbox, then enter a password. It applies only to the exported copy.
